The 2,500 line Electronic Journal can be printed automatically with end of day reports or on request. You can look at the journal by printing sections of it - e.g. sales made in the last 10 minutes.

There are Z1 and Z2 Reports for PLUs, Departments, Groups and Staff. 9 Display Only Reports - e. g. Cash in Drawer - are available at the touch of a button. There is a 5-line logo as well as a 5-line trailer message for advertising.
 
Compact housing - clam shell printer

In many businesses nowadays, a high proportion of takings is by credit card, so a space-saving compact drawer can be preferable. However, businesses do still need 8 coin and 4 note compartments. AX-80’s 4th note compartment, where £50 notes and credit card slips can be securely stored, is out of sight under the removable coin tray.

The drop and load clam shell printer, normally only found on higher priced models, eliminates paper jams. The tear off knife is metal so stays sharp through continued usage.
